(Holy week) Monday and Tuesday??

I did a little research and for those who want to know what happens after Palm Sunday......

Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday and Holy Wednesday

  • On the days after Palm Sunday, Catholics celebrating Holy Week read Gospel accounts of the events of Holy (Fig) Monday, Holy Tuesday and Holy (Spy) Wednesday. These readings include accounts of the Anointing at Bethany (John 12:1-9) when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
  • Catholics celebrate the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Maundy (Holy) Thursday, which commemorates the Passover Seder that Jesus celebrated with his 12 Apostles. Some Christians reenact the Passover Seder, the Jewish meal that Christians believe comprised Jesus' last meal. Maundy Thursday mass also celebrates the Eucharist, the commandment of brotherly love that Jesus gave after washing the feet of his disciples and the institution of the priesthood. Catholics receive communion during this mass as a remembrance of the inauguration of the rite of communion during Jesus' Seder. As part of this mass some priests wash the feet of 12 men in the congregation. The Maunday Thursday mass begins the Easter Triduum, three days that encompass Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. This mass continues, as one, over the next two days until Easter Vigil Mass.
